Yes – there’s a £20 annual insurance and membership fee per student. This covers training insurance and makes you eligible for gradings (grading fees are separate).
Yes – we offer inclusive coaching and adapt sessions to meet individual needs. If a group class isn’t suitable, we run 1-to-1 sessions which can help progress into a normal class when ready. We also create tailored training plans, not just for kickboxing skills but also for communication, social goals, and personal growth, so every student can thrive.
Yes – if a student can’t meet standard belt requirements, we adapt them so progress is still challenging but achievable. Additional needs students have competed in light contact competitions, done pad work and skills demos, performed kata and forms demonstrations at events like the FitExpo, and even competed at world championships.
Yes – we’re proud to have students with additional needs helping behind the scenes too. Some of our coaching team have ADHD, and our admin is autistic. We value everyone’s strengths as part of our community.
Gradings are held throughout the year, and you’ll only be invited if you’ve earned enough attendance points (the number needed increases with each grade). Before gradings, you’ll get a progress report telling you if you’re ready, almost ready, or not yet eligible.
- Cobras (5–10): Approx. every 3 months (we encourage “grade one, miss one”).
- Juniors & Adults (11+): Every 6 months.
Gradings have a separate fee which covers the grading, belt, and certificate. If you’re invited but don’t pass, you get one free re-try. If you grade against the advice of your progress report and don’t pass, you must pay for the re-sit.
Yes – all our coaches are black belt trained, DBS-checked, first aid trained, safeguarding trained, and fully insured. They are also mental health trained, have eating disorder awareness, and have developed a syllabus designed to fit how children learn.
Our coaches will work with anyone to create a personal training plan that suits them, supports their goals, and helps them progress at their own pace. For students who want to compete, we provide extra training and will travel with you to competitions to give full support.

Yes – respect is at the heart of everything we do. Our gym is a consent-focused environment where every student’s wishes and views are valued. No – we will never encourage unhealthy weight cutting. Our focus is always on safe training, skill development, and wellbeing. If a student wants to compete, we’ll help them find the right category for their natural weight, rather than pushing unsafe practices.
