Admin & Safeguarding Lead
Ash Wilcockson

Ash first joined North Staffordshire Kickboxing in 2023 while recovering from an injury and completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award. What began as a way to rebuild fitness quickly grew into a passion that has taken them from beginner to international competitor in just a short space of time.

In 2025 alone, Ash has earned 13+ medals across a variety of disciplines — including Light Continuous, Low Kick, Inclusive Pads, and Inclusive Kata — and has secured places to represent Team England at both the ICO World Championships and the WMAC World Championships later this year.

Beyond competing, Ash plays a vital role as the gym’s Safeguarding Lead. They are dedicated to ensuring that every member of the gym feels safe, supported, and valued. Whether it’s handling safeguarding responsibilities, keeping the gym organised behind the scenes, or supporting the competition team to stay on track at events, Ash helps create the structure that allows others to thrive.

You’ll also find Ash in Cobra classes, encouraging our youngest students to enjoy their training and build confidence. With lived experience of being autistic, Ash knows first-hand how important it is for people to feel included — and is passionate about making sure every student at NSK has the same chance to succeed and as many opportunities as possible to reach their potential.
